Touch Fun Day
FFOTRA was awarded a grant from Carnegie Trust to hold a free Fun Day in Touch. We hope those who attended had an amazing time, and the kids enjoyed dancing with Alvin Chipmunk, face painting, balloon modelling, having a go at the games on offer, trying to win prizes, as well as enjoying party food.
A big thank you to all our volunteers and local companies who helped support our event.
Methil Fun Day
An afternoon of fun that doesn't cost a penny. Thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund, the donation of Easter eggs for each child and every business, shop, and volunteer that helped make it a success.
Dunfermline Fun Day
On the back of our recent successful event in Kirkcaldy, FFOTRA agreed to hold a similar Fun Day event in the West of Fife. It featured face painting, coconut shy, bouncy castle, sand art, target shooting, and an opportunity for the kids to interact and win prizes. Once again, this event was free to attend and take part, and only made possible with the continuing support and generosity of all our volunteers, colleagues, partners, friends, and local business to whom we are extremely grateful.
Kirkcaldy Fun Day
We were successful in securing funding from the Community Lottery Fund which enabled us to hold an event in the aim of bringing the community back together after COVID. The funding enabled us to organise a free Fun Day where we wanted a place for kids and adults to come together for a few hours of fun without worrying about the cost of activities.
We had face painting, rodeo (which was as much fun for the adults as the kids), bouncy castle, kids' entertainment, and loads more as well as free entry to our raffle draw with all goods donated by local businesses. We provided food and drink which was supplemented by local large supermarkets in Kirkcaldy.
We had an amazing turnout, and our hard work paid off when the kids were telling us that they had a fab time and asking when our next Fun Day was. We are hoping this will be a yearly occurance and not a one off. Unfortunately this depends on sponsors which is now on my to-do list.
FFOTRA Fun Event - The Ballroom
Despite poor weather, it was great to see an amazing turnout at our FFOTRA Fun Event at the Ballroom Pool Hall, Dunfermline. Families enjoyed a free game of pool, darts, table football, and other fun activities. Kids enjoyed a free snack provided by the Ballroom. It was lovely to meet representatives from The Islands, Abbeyview TRA, Dunfermline Broomhead TRA, and Brucefield TRA.
Thanks to Fife Council Tenant Participation officers for coming out on a Sunday to help - we mustn't forget Sandy the Dog wearing the FFOTRA t-shirt!
A big thank you to Hannah and the staff at the Ballroom for making the afternoon possible.
Halloween Fun Day 2025
On Thursday 16th October, FFOTRA hosted a Halloween Fun Day at St. Bryce Kirk in Kirkcaldy. The free event welcomed local families to enjoy an afternoon packed with games, activities, face painting, balloon modelling, dancing, food, competition - and more! Jolly Jigglers kept the children entertained throughout the day, while Sandy the Dog impressed everyone with some fantastic dance moves.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us - we hope you all had a spooktacular time!
