We’re excited to be hitting the road this year with our FFOTRA Roadshow, travelling across Fife to give local residents the chance to meet and speak with FFOTRA staff and Board Members first hand. Keep your eyes peeled for dates in your area.
Come along to chat with a Board Member, get advice and support, and share your views on issues affecting your area. You can also take part in our short questionnaire for the chance to win a prize in our giveaway!
We look forward to meeting you and hearing what matters most to you in your community.
Scotland’s Housing Festival 2026, organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), took place at Glasgow’s SEC Exhibition Centre on 3rd and 4th March 2026. The event was attended by Patricia Gray, FFOTRA Chairperson alongside Board Members, Tony Whinfield and Isabel Campbell, representing the tenants and residents of Fife Council.
FFOTRA members participated in a wide range of discussions and breakout sessions, each attending different sessions to maximise coverage and engagement. This approach allowed them to gather comprehensive and valuable insights into current and emerging housing issues. Their involvement ensured that key developments, policy discussions, and sector trends were effectively captured and understood, strengthening their ability to represent and inform all tenants and residents.
As we move through January, our Board meetings are well underway for the year ahead. These meetings bring together our staff, Board members, and representatives from the Fife Council Tenant Participation Team to reflect on recent activity at FFOTRA and look ahead to what's coming next. They're a valuable chance to share updates, exchange ideas, and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to supporting our TRAs.
FFOTRA continues its monthly visits to the Philp Hall Community Hub, managed by three local TRAs: Invertiel, New Linktown, and Forthview. The hub offers the local community a welcoming, safe space where they can enjoy a hot drink, a breakfast roll, and chat with friends and neighbours. It also offers the opportunity to connect with support services such as FFOTRA, Fife Council, and Safer Communities. The hub operates every Friday morning from 10am to 12pm at Philp Hall, Links Street, Kirkcaldy.
Everyone is welcome.
Following discussions at our recent AGM, we recognised a growing need for tenant support in the Glenrothes area. As tenants in this region currently lack Federation representation, FFOTRA has explored the possibility of extending our services to incorporate Glenrothes and surrounding communities, including Leslie, Markinch, Milton of Balgonie, Coaltown of Balgonie, Star of Markinch, and Auchmuir Bridge.
We want to reassure our valued members that this expansion will not impact the services you currently receive. Our commitment to you remains steadfast, and this development allows us to offer support to even more tenants across Fife. We look forward to welcoming new members from Glenrothes and continuing to work together to enhance tenant representation across the region.
Our monthly board meetings are in full swing once again, providing an opportunity for our staff and board members to come together, along with Fife Council Participation Team to discuss what FFOTRA has been up to, and how we continue to support our TRAs.
